Hearts Aflame & Sunday Special Service.
Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2:43 AM
Hello loyal friends of mine. As I feel so drained out from my work, God provided me with His words and amazing grace. :) Hearts Aflame was great! I regretted not going on friday because I was doing my WDS. Actually, I dint want to go on saturday as well but thank God there was Melvin who ask me to go! Haha. The journey itself took me straight of an hour but that's was because the bus came immediatly when I was at the bus-stop. :D

I was so afraid of being lost but thank God once again, He brought me safely to Anglo-Chinese Junior College. The school's really really bigggggg! Went in halfway of a sermon by Sy Rogers. His answers for each questions was really really fantastic and well explained. I learnt alot from him even though I only sat there for about 45 mins. Haha. His way of explaining things catches my attention. Amazing. :)

Then there was serving time. I requested to serve for Hearts Aflame and there I was, serving lunch to the people. Haha. It was quite fun because I get to serve! :) & of course, seeing the large crowd encourages me much further. So as we were serving.. the people serving were getting more and mroe enthusiastic in serving the people. They went in front to serve them. First, they loitered around the space near to the tables where the food were displayed. But for tea-break and dinner, they went further in front, to the road and really serve! :D It's funny but show's everybody's happiness in serving. Im amazed once again. Of course, we did have lots of fun and laughters as a few of us were serving. Haha.. & Im being named as the, "Small girl" now because of my new haircut! HAHA. I don't care.. ok, I care!

Then we had workshops! Matt, Andrea, Sy, Moses, Jo and I decided to attend, "Reaching for the changing generation". It was not bad, allowing us to see how people react to pre-marital sex. Yeap, the world now is changing and IS accepting pre-marital sex. People refers to the second generation people. Having sex before marriage is an okay thing to most people. Im sure some of you reading this finds it okay too. Some even feel that sex = love which means having an intercourse with your boyfriend who is not married to you legally is love. By loving, you have to have sex! This isn't the case my friends. Having a relationship is to have mutual love and not showing or expressing love in this way. Wise up girls! Doesn't mean your bf wants it you have to do it! It's just a temporary thing but what's longer is your RELATIONSHIP with each other. Think about what if you are to break up from your bf?

Then I attended another workshop, "Facing the firing squad". Another great workshop that would help me! They gave us lots of questions atheist would ask and for a while, I was dumbfounded. No kid. I couldn't answer the questions. & when others start to speak up on their thoughts, I was able to understand moreeee. & I manage, to give an answer or two which means alot to me seriously! Hahaha.

There was main sermons but sadly we missed the first one in the night because we had to do alot of clearing up! The next speaker, Lon Allison was good although I didnt really catch what he was saying in front because I was super tired, but later, I understood a little better. :D

So today's special sunday service was once again A GREAT SERMON! Thanks Shawn, Leeyee and Daryl for making the time to come all the way to my church, especially Daryl! He lives at Punggol and is willing to wake up so early when I just called him the day before to ask him if he is free to come down for this service. He's just so on and steady! Hahaha. :D I was really really happy and encouraged by him as I got rejected by at least 11 people. Although it impacted me quite hard, but God reassured me with other people. :) But I know there are still many chances to bring these 11 people who rejected me to my church at least for one of the special events! :) Rebecca Pippet was the speaker. She really helped me to understood how Jesus could talk about Parable but have such great meanings in it. When I read them on my own, I really don't see much of it but this time I know! I know that each parable has a great meaning hidden in it! I just need to reach further in. :) Im just restored in faith at the same time when I go for all these talks. It really encourages me to move on and nearer to God. It's not by the works that I feel that will bring me to heaven it's my heart and belief. Thank You Father. You're Amazing. :D

Alright people. That's all for the day. Shall post up pictures when Im free. Think I'll MIA again till the end of the week. Have fun in school, stay happy and healthy. Take care! Nightttt. Peace & God bless.
